Our New Jersey client is need of an individual to be a member of the Requisition to Pay (Purchasing) Team. You will be responsible for implementation and support of the purchasing through payment process functionality of the SAP system. You will participate in a cross-functional, team environment. Jan! R/1 has existed till mid 80's I beleive. When I joined SAP in 1988 in Switzerland (the first branch outside Germany founded in 1984) I was working with R/2 3.x version. At that time there were only about 300 employees in Germany and 40 employees in Switzerland. I don't think that many people would have heard about R/1.

I don't know about the other packages you mentioned, but at least SAP provides the source codes (as opposed to Microsoft) and you can make the fixes as per their OSS. We switched to SAP recently, and it's terrible. Everyone in my company that I know of hates it (and I work for a Fortune 500 company). It is overly cumbersome, complicated, and time-consuming compared to our previous system. SAP's training and support is poor. I know of others in different companies who feel the same way - we have come to believe SAP stands for "Stops All Processes"!

We have installed SAP46B milltemplate & cin 3.0 Following procedure was followed in installation. 1) Installation id 46B 2) client copy of 000 to 100 3) installed mill template in 100. 4) loaded CATT in 100. 5) loaded cin 3.0 in 100. Following are the problems : 1) cannot create or display any document in MM/SD and the following errer appears, Syntex error in program :SAPLV61A in include :FV64A351 in line :58 The field com_tax in unknown, but there are the following fields with similar names "comm_text","save_com_tax", and komv_tabix" ( I dont find any notes to correct this error) 2) In SPRO for financial accounting --> financial accounting global setting ---> tax on sales / Purchase ---> Basic Settings --- > assign county to calculation procedure. In this tax procedure TAXINJ should be assigned to Country IN (india) and it does not appear in client 100 and the same thing appears in client 000. can any one help hoe to correct these errors.

I have been in SAP since 1996. Currenlty in Ericsson Malaysia implementing a template-based solution in the MM area. I subcribe to SAP's concept of integration and find its diverse and rich functionalities unmatched .... so far at least. Most of all, SAP provides a great way to travel and work with different cultures within a corporate framework. Wheather in China (Shenzhen), Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Stockholm or London the different peoples I work with, all speak the common language in SAP. Even in Supply Chain Management interfacing with SAP R/3 Sales and Distribution (SD), EDI implementation in sending banking info from customer to bank or in Procurement and Inventory matters, the challenges are similar if not varient only in country-specfic interpretations. The you can focus in process re-engineering, change management, strategic planning and implementation based in your added capacity as an industry expert and methodologist. There is more. SAP is a never-ending learning experience.

Hi, I am a question on SD & need some help urgently. In the pricing procedure, if I use a pricing condition with percentage calculation, is there a way in SAP where I can configure the condition to calculate base on single unit base than only multiply with the ordered quantity? In Standard SAP, the system calculate the % based on the total amount of the order quantity where will cause some diff in total value. Hope to get some help from all of you. Thanks in advance.

I have used much of the information here to help others in my client's organization better understand SAP and how it is intended to function. I am an end-user in the Purchasing area to whom my client has outsourced Origination and Buyer functions for global capital equipment projects. Many of the work processes and procedures must be revisited to adapt properly for capital purchases. I am very interested in anyone who has experiences and tips they can share! This is a great site! I will tell you about myself, I have 5 years in the Logistics enviroment and have been working with SAP IM/WM for almost 3 years. This site is great for job searches and topic related user forums. I find it sad, that some people do not show courteous behavior and bring a negative attitude to it. But that is the downside of free speech. On the other hand, this is probably the best place to go to get help from knowledgeable people. This site could actually promote good programming style and spawn discussions over the dangers of certain approaches. And it helps to stay updated (e.g., if a new SAP version offers a better way to do things). I would like to thank all the people who participate in a constructive way. There are lots of good tips in the user forums, which can be applied in day-to-day work. Just think of the poor maintenance persons when the contractors leave...

I've used this site frequently in the past, but have never actually added my name to the book. I feel as if I should now though. I am interested in taking an SD academy course sometime this year. I have found ABAP academy courses in University of Calgary at much reduced prices and have heard of more in South Africa. Does anyone know where I can get info anywhere in the world where a war is not happening(!) that will be cheaper than UK! Hello Sappers - I am looking for some documentation on configuring Inter-company billing using SAP EDI. The secenrio here is, I have two company codes Co. Code 0001 and Co. Code 0002. Co. Code 0001 provides services to Co.code 0002. Co code 0001 will book revenue on its book but I cannot book expense on the books of co. code 0002 from SD. Does anyone have any information on this. Your input in such matter will greatly be appreciated.

Great site ! I just don't know how to open a new topic 'cause my browser shows no room for text nor any submit button ! Actually I was in need to modify an ABAP but SE38 was not working (dump if you press edit) view was possible. One function module was modified during update. So I wrote an emergency editor to bypass SE38 - and it worked ! If you want a copy of the editor - mail me ! Regards, Thomas

We have five clocks, four in SAP and one in the culo de Bianchin, but all andan when quieren, and the most of time no quieren. I buy an egyptian obelisc to use like sun clock, but Bianchin with help of Little Guzmi afaning me, and Bianchin pass by Aduana with the obelisc introducido. The SAP clocks remains andando like the upete, but I hope that in release 46 comes with eight clocks. If Little Guzmi deja alguno perhaps ande sometime.

Hi all I am the new basis consultant. I have experience with SAP just 4 months. Now I had installed SAP release 4.0B with informix on NT. After I create transport layer and transport route as standard single system. I tested it by using command "TP CONNECT" at dos prompt but I got error code 212. When I came back to TMS,I will get messages function: TMS_TP_READ_LOGFILE and warning OPEN_FAILED whenever I tried function in TMS. As I look at the permission of transportation directory they had set as full control for everyone already but it never create any log file in log directory. I have 9 years of experience in information technolgy, and I´ve been working with SAP (MM and PM module) in the last 2 years. Nowadays I´m finishing my third project, in the biggest Pulp and Paper Industry of Brazil.
