SAP Instalation problem on Linux

When I installed LINUX, It finished OK ..I'm using network connection to the internet, the network adapter is Realtek RFTL8029(AS) PCI Ethernet NIC ..this network adapter is OK....I don't have any problem..
,but I read the file INSTALL.TXT and It said that I have to install the program Kernel-2.2.12-45SAP ...after I installed this program...the target doesn't work, I can`t connection to the internet..I don't know what happend....my friend told me that configuration the target again.....but I don't know how can I do this...
