: The migration tool (tx DMIG) is a free of charge tool, SAP offers to migrate from R/2 to R/3. You have to order your version at your local SAP-support center. You then can install the two components (one on R/2, one on R/3-side). An alternative is LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench), which you can download at service.sap.com/lsmw. Installation is done only on R/3-side. If you need more info, please feel free to contact me.
