Dear Collegues,
We are currently using a universal material structure (BoM), where Engineering start building a new BoM and our Logistic department adds and changes the structure
(adding phantoms, routings etc) for production purposes. Now with the integration of the iMAN SAP I/F we would like to send over the iMAN BoM to SAP (1:1) and
keep the structure as sent. SAP has excellent functionality to support various types of BoM usage. So we intend to create the Engineering BoM in SAP with the I/F and
copy the structure (in SAP) to a Production BoM. The changes will be made in a later phase to either BoMs. The E-BoM will be updated from iMAN via the I/F the
P-BoM will be updated by hand.
I would like to get in touch with people (no consultants thanks) who have changed over from an universal BoM to split BoMs just to share their experience.
