CRM: Mobile client activities problem

I am creating activities on the CRM system for download to a mobile client. I can create the activity and save it ok but when it is replicated to the mobile client it is not associated to the employee. I have noticed that the business partner associated with that employee is not replicated down to the mobile client either. This is probably why the activity cannot be associated with the employee but what I need to know is, is there anything 'special' that needs to be set up with a business partner who is also an employee in order for them to be replicated down to the mobile client? Until I can get the employee (business partner details) down to the mobile client the association between the activity and the employee is not going to work.
