I've posted this message before but unfortunately did not get any help so I'm trying again. I'm at a bit of a loss.
We can send emails from SAP so presumably the basis side is set up correctly. I've written programs where I use SAP function modules to send email messages to a specified email address but I would like to configure and output type to email (instead of print or fax)the Quality Certificate to a customer.
What config is required in QM and SD to enable the Quality Certificate to be sent directly to a customer's email address instead of being printed to a specified printer or faxed to a specified fax no.
I have the following config set up but I am not successful.
I have defined the communication strategy ANZ as follows:
Position 10 INT
Position 20 FAX
I have added the email address to the customer master:
On the Address tab - e-mail = email address
- standard comm type = internet mail (SMTP)
I have created an output type ZQCE:
General data:
Access seq = 0005 - Sales org/customer
Check "Access to conditions" box
Default values:
Dispatch time = Send with application own transaction
Transmission medium = external send
Partner function = SP
Communication strategy = ANZ
Print:
Print parameter = shipping point
I have created the output condition record for the selected sales org and customer:
Partner function = SP
Medium = 5
Time = 3
We go into VL71 to create the Quality Cert. and it is created in the spool but does not go to the email address in the customer master.
Am I missing anything in QM config or is there additional basis config required. As an ABAPer trying to get the Quality Cert. to work I'm getting a bit out of my depth in QM config so I would appreciate any help (more detailed than conceptual)
