Functional area field in PM order

The FICO guys want us to use the functional area (f.a.) field in the PM order. Have tested this in versions 4.6B/C. I understand
it should be possible to enter a default f.a. value for the order types during customizing, the same way as for internal CO order types. However, the field is not available for order types of category 30 in IMG transaction OIOA. So how can I enter a default f.a. value for existing PM order types?
