Batch Input Sessions to generate Physical Inventory Documents

I can't seem to create any session for the generation of physical inventory documents. I'm supposed to carry out these sessions using transaction codes MI31 (For Own Stocks - Session MB_MI01), MIK1 (For Consigned Stocks) and MICN (For materials subject to cycle counting).

I believe that the system only prevents you from creating any sessions for such batch input if the material numbers to be included in the sessions are still active in a previous physical inventory document. All materials intended to be included in my count are not active and have already been posted. What possible reason could there be for such?

Also,I have already carried out a successful Batch Input creation of physical inventory documents during my first inventory count,the results of which were already posted.
This is my second inventory count.

If there really were no materials that can be subject to physical inventory document creation, then I'd expect that a system message saying: No selectable materials exist.
Instead, when I try to execute the session, I am brought to the "Batch Input Created for the Creation of Phys. Inv. Docmnts." screen in which there are no sessions ready for processing.
