Material Master - BAPI or RFC

Hi SAPgurus,

Is there any BAPI/RFC available in the SAP system through which I can get the detailed info (Description, prices, qty) for multiple materials at one go (may be i can mention range). I know that there is a BAPI available for a single material. But as per my requirement, I should get the data from SAP for multiple materials at one shot either using BAPI/RFC.
