EDI : Communication settings not maintained for transmission medium 6

Hi,

I am trying to configure the EDI for Purchase order . I have done the basic settings, partnet profile and message control settings. But when i create a PO and try to test it by going into header->messages and going to communication method for output type NEU .. the system gives a message "Communication parameters not defined for transmission medium 6 "

I have done all this config by refering to the book
"SAP ALE EDI Technologies for SAP R/3" by Arvind Nagpal.

Can any one help me out ..
