Hello Jim,

I have worked with R3 and IS-U for almost 4 years. Actually R3 and IS-U do provide functionality for some of these. Equipment maintenence-PM module, AM and MM for materials procurement and inventory tracking, CIC/FO for call center/customer service, IS-U and PM master data can be integrated with a 3rd party outage management and a GIS system. You are right in that they do not provide standard functionality around Power Generation and to my knowledge Energy trading. The Customer service modules are quickly approaching a level where they are very competitive with best of breeds like Siebel.

: our company produce and sell electricity.our purpose to select ERP is try to manage electricity-relevant operations,such as equipment manitenance,sales of electricity,material procurement,customer services.But as we know,SAP's standard solution is not adapt to solve these(for example sales of electrcity,equipment management integrated with GIS),so can anybody has experience in electricity industry and give us some good suggestions on which solution we should choose?
