Want to know if anyone has exp with retail (RP) replenishment. We want to keep inventory low while still attain high service level. We are struggling whether to use basic reorder point planning (min/max) RP type VB lot size HB or to use retail replenishment RP type RP - and use forecast and saftey stock calc there along with min target stock to support fixture fill reqs. I was told retail RP does not work well since it gives to much stock and forecast does not accoujnt well for spikes in demand. Told to use basic reorder point and write reports to support min/max change decisions and then to move into a best of breed replen planning solution to interface with R3 (Arthur, Makaro) Anyone with opinion lessons learned?
