Hi,
Thanks for your response. The scenario in detail would be something like this:
Since we are not interested in the end-customers, we are treating only the service providers as our business partners and are maintaining contracts with them, a single contract for every service provider for all the installations that they handle. But the prob is whenever the end-customer decides to change from one service provider to another, how do I capture this information and perform billing on the service provider to the corresponding period? Also just for the sake of more info, meter reading is not in our scope and it's only the provisional rates that are charged on an annual basis.
Our concerns here are:
Can the above process be mapped or can it be handled in SD directly? But in case of SD, how do we capture the period for which one service provider is responsible for?
Can the system be able to handle the load of millions of line items in a single billing doc?
Looking forward to hearing from you again..

: Hi,
: It depends on what Master data you already use, and how you need to bill these service providers. Also are you already using IS-U? If so you could possibly set up the installations and attach devices to them, and then when work is needed use service orders to perform the work and attach costs that way, or it may be worth investigating the deregulation fields against the installation to see if they provide some added functionality (I have not used these).
