We have completed a number of implementations using the LSMW and found the most beneficial. It is very easy to use and incorporates a lot of standard load processes. It is very flexible in that you can add ABAP coding if required when formatting data from legacy files to loading files. It is the best tool that I have seen in the 4+ years that I have worked on implementation projects. It can be used for practically any data object within SAP and has very few (if any) limitations. Hope this helps you make your mind up.
