The "ARIS Tool Set" can be a very comprehensive alternative. Typically larger companies with developed discipline in documentation get along with this solution fine. Industries like Pharmaceuticals, with a lot of requirements on documentation can benefit big time. For small, quick or understaffed implementations this tool can become a burden.

: Could you please advise me the better tools for business process description. I've tried to find useful templetes in ASAP, but there isn't. In my previous project we used Visio, but I wonder if it is more helpful software.
