There is a very interesting tool developed by Intelligroup that is extreamly useful to map the upgrade process. Please go to www.powerup-services.com for more info on the UPTIMIZER. According to AMR Research 'It is a must have for upgrade projects'
It helps in planning, analyzing and executing an upgrade very efficiently and cost effectively. You can estimate the effort involved in your upgrade by "simulating" an upgrade through the Uptimizer, ie. you do not have to upgrade your system to analyze the impact. It takes the guess work out of the upgrade process and helps you make repairs/modifications/replacements to your objects, acting as an ABAP workbench. It can also point out all ABAP best practice violations that can significantly affect the performance of your system. It can assist you with synchronizing your SAP landscape as well. AMR Research calls this a "gem" and a "must have" for any SAP upgrade.
Already used by all corps big and small - Whirlpool, Bristol Meyers Squib, Cadence, Network Associates, etc...
