Greetings!

My team has been considering switching for our current system to Ceridian's tools for managing the HRIS for 800. So far we've been impressed with how integrated the modules are and it's reporting features. Sure beats the exporting to Excel that we're currently required to do.

I've just been informed that the company intends to implement SAP HR globally (except for payroll which they intend to outsource!). We've been running the Finance and Order Administration modules of SAP and still haven't worked out all the bugs.

My questions to you are -
- What are the "typical" costs for implementation, including customization for US needs and feeds to the payroll outsource firm? We will need to use some consultants because we do not have the competencies in house.

- What length of time for implementation should I anticipate?

- I understand that not many companies in the US have embraced SAP HR. Do you know why?

I appreciate any help you can give me. I'm afraid that "the powers that be" may not be realistic in their expectations and I want to help us avoid a potentially expensive mistake. Thanks so much!
