Your first sentence hits the nail on the head - '...change within an ERP implementation'. So often the change happens too late - i.e. once implementation phase has kicked in. Wat about the change BEFORE implementation? Change cannot be managed effectively if it has not been planned. An ERP implementation is a huge change but it's usually only part of an even greater change for any organisation.

You aso ask how important is change mant to this? I would suggest it becomes more important as time goes by if no-one has paid due consideration to it in the early stages.

Alternatively, if you're able to visit Sheffield w/c 23 April 2001 let me know and I'd be happy for you to pop in for a session on Change Mant - we run a residential 1-week module on this topic for our SAP Masters students. Previous students who are now change managers and project managers will be sharing some of their experiences of applying the theories they learned on the course 18 months ago and how these have panned out in practice.

Hope you're making good progress with your research. Your last point suggests you will be critiquing current frameworks/models for their inadequacies (are they inadequate? If not, why come up with a new framework? Will you adapt an existing framework for a particular field study or what?).
