Hi
This is Subbu , we are in the process of implementing sap r/3 in our organization. Well taking of change management we beleive it plays a major role next important to technical aspects involved inimplementing sap.
Our organization has a lot of people of the age group of above 45 plus in the operations side who are used to using the console based software - dos items. hence when we started our process of getting into sap, we had our sap mailers which started transfer of knowledge to our branch office members. We also initiated a newround of change agents , persons in the age group of 20-30 who are good in communications and in tech aspects of sap (after aorientation training) to go the branches level and start getting people acclimatised to sap process.
We had our change agents working well to manage the issue of change management. This was almost a volountary job picked up by the candidates themselves.
We also had a training server apart from a development and production server , which was used by our first line employees and the change agents to get the first line users to interact
with sap firsthand.
We had our first session of training for our frontline users two months before golive. and two months of free time for them to get themselves trained.
we have our golive scheduled for 1st april.
hope this is of some use to you.
