Our company specializes in SAP archiving and we represent a software solution for archiving. It is called PBS.
This software is written in ABAP code and once installed gives you the same access and drill down to the archived data as if the data was in the SAP system. you use standard SAP methods such as menu paths, transaction codes and ABAP reports to access the data .
With this solution you get fast installation and users love it because they use SAP methods to look at archived data .
It also provides all of the drill down and integration including document flow even if some of the related data was archived and some were not eg. SD document flow.
