Hi Thanuja:

There are several ways to do this:
- you can set the suppression of result rows to 'Always'/'Never'/'Conditional' in the properties (context menu) of the characteristic, in the query create/change window.
If you set 'Conditional', then the totals are displayed whenever the value of the characteristic changes in the result area.

- you can right click (context menu) anywhere in the result area, select 'All Chars'->'Suppression of Result rows'->Conditional. This will keep only the overall totals.
