Comparing Business Objects & Bex

Hello,

Can somebody compare and contrast Business Objects and Bex?

One disadvantage I'm aware of with Bex is the limitation of number of rows & columns. I came to know that Microsoft has removed this limitation with Excel 2000. I do have Excel 2000 on Windows 2000; but I still have the limitations. Is there any setting to be made on Excel to remove the number of rows limitation?
