Datasource mapping in BW

Can anyone please help with the following.

I have created a view in the SAP R/3 system and I want to replicate it in BW as a datasource. I am trying to replicate the datasource within a specific application list in the Source Systems. Is there something I need to do in the R/3 system for BW to be able to "see" it. Or do I need to do something specific in BW?

Any help would be much appreciated.
