Problems with Outlook 2000, SAP MAPI and VPN client software

I am working on resolving a tricky problem at customer site running SAP MAPI, Outlook 2000, Windows 2000 with SP2, SAP R/3 Basis 4.6D and Cisco VPN Client 5000 software. The Outlook 2000 locks up and network errors appear but no LAN/WAN problems present. We isolated the problem to be between SAP MAPI and Cisco VPN Client 5000 software but no fixes were available at Cisco or SAP. Any advice how to resolve this problem? Thanks!
