I am exploring the Document Management System. My ultimate goal is to allow a customer service person to access a product picture or other reference objects while in the sales order (eg. VA01 or VA02)
I have created a document type that attaches to a material master item (using Extras>Document data in the maintenance screen). This works fine.
I also created an additional object link so that the sales order item (VBAP) can link to the same document type.
In the sales order you can execute Extras>Documents and a list will display any object links for the selected item. This list is blank for the item that I have added the jpeg file to the material master.
Is there a copy control setting or user exit that allows the material master object links to copy to the order line (VBAP)? I could tell the CSR to use the environment menu to go to the material and eventually get the image up but this takes so many clicks that it seems very cumbersome.
