How to allow a transaction to be run only from workflow?

Hi!
I am trying to set up authorization profiles for users and we have workflow. What I would like to do is to block an R/3 transaction (like ME54 - approve PReq) from being run via the GUI, and only allow it to be run by users, if they go through workflow (the PReq will come into their Inbox, and they click to approve).

I do NOT want to change SAP code but want to remove authorizations for ME54 to be run via the GUI, but allow these users to run the transaction THROUGH a workitem in workflow.

Has anybody successfully implemented this? Thanks in advance for your help!
