Going Live with R/3 & APO

We planned to go live with R/3(MM,PP,SD,&FI/CO modules)and APO( SNP& PP/DS) together.

Is it possible?.Has any one done this before?.

I know some projects are currently underway.

What are the implications ,recommendations to ensure smooth live.

Mainly what are the show stoppers?.
