Pricing for FOC Goods

Post by boom_sap » Tue Feb 28, 2006 12:05 pm

Hey Folks,

I'm struck with a basic problem of processing Free Goods.

Whenever a customer orders a Good "X" from our company he gets Product "Y" free of charge.

Here's what I've done:

Created "X" as a Standand Item - ItemCat - TAN

Created "Y" as a Free Item - ItemCat - TANN

How do I link these 2 items, so that when the customer places an inquiry for item "X" , the item "Y" should automatically be entered in the Quotation / Sales Order & should be shown as an "Free of Charge" item.

The customer is billed for Item "X" - Sales price, Tax, Shipping.

Should I have to create a condition type in my pricing procedure in-order to make sure no taxation / no shipping is done for the free good "Y"

Hi, have you created a Free Good condition record (using VBN1)? There is no need to include in your pricing procedure. You need to ensure that the item category assignment for sales order is correct - review what is available for standard SAP order types (VOV4).
