Hello, I need a way to reverse the order of ex. 4 pages of an already existing document. The workflow behind SAP - PCL-Printer -> Inline-Envelopingmachine - cannot reorder the pages of each document from last page to the first one automatically. I know that some MS-drivers or other print-solutions-software have an option to do it, printers hw cannot do this at all - but I miss a function like that on SAP. My other problem to face-up the pages (normally the pages run out face-down, so that you can flip the stack with the first page upmost) did I solve with a PJL-command in print-controls. But unfortunatly there is no PJL for the problem above.
Therefor my cry for help...thanks

sometimes, you can print the output in another tray, such as a manual external tray on a printer, and this will change the output direction.

Snowy, thanks for your hint.
I'm looking for a HW-independent solution to reorder the output from the last to the first page - let say to print backwards a bunch of pages from n+1 to n.
Your hint is great - but very HW-dependent - if Iyou want flip the single page only. (bye the way, the PJL-cmd is also not very HW-independent!)
The best is to have a solution on application-side to print the data also in 10 years on the future printmodel without any harm.
Is there an output-, generate- or print control-command or a special feature on SAP to do this work?
(another idea is to install a printserver with a small programm on it which reorder the pages in the output-datastream PCL instead - but this brings more sources of errors than benefits)
greetings

i have the feeling that you should try to go for an Output Management System (OMS). various 3rd party products available, google them. don't mess with print-controls or print-devices (like xerox does), you'll never get lucky with that ... use an OMS.
