Game Development in SAP/ABAP

Postby srohit20 » Fri Nov 07, 2008 3:55 am

Hello Friends,
I wish to know whether it is possible to develop 2D or 3D games using SAP/ABAP? If you have any idea about this then please let me know.

2D=yes
3D=no

now, if you build a game on ABAP, how do you plan on selling it? with a million dollar SAP license?

I am shadowing this topic in the GD forum for fun.

It's a bit embarrassing, but I did code a 2-d version of "connect 4" about 10 years ago. The company was shutting down, so the project was closed, but nobody was let go yet (I was starting up contracting about 2 weeks later).

I picked that game because it was really easy, and could be coded in an afternoon.

I think you could do some 3-d stuff, but it would be really ugly, utilizing graphs, etc. You wouldn't be able to have anything in motion other than the pointer.

muhnkee_2,

And there's me thinking you were busy with supporting HR while at Axon. :)
