Right click your mouse on the code in abap editor, the last option is 'save to a local file' or you can find this option just below the Report name in the abap editor (in 4.6C). you can save the code to a local file with this.

And when you've been upgraded to 4.6C: Check out the easy down- and upload-program and its manual on Very easy to use. Thumbs up for Jim.
Best regards, Tim van Steenbergen.

i've downloaded and followed the steps for the initial load.(See below)
After executing i'm getting a dump 'Exception condition "FILE_OPEN_ERROR" raised'.
I see that the DOS batch program starts and then i'm getting the error.

I'm on SAP R/3 4.5B, SAP Gui 6.20 and Windows NT 4.0.

What's wrong ?

* To load the ist time into a system.** Create program with ABAP editor and Upload the .EEE file.* Delete ist line (????SRCE) in the ABAP EDITOR --NOT THE DISK FILE* Delete all the source from the line that starts ????TEXT (towards* the end file) till the end so the last line in your source is ENDFORM.* DO NOT ALTER THE DISK FILE. DO THESE CHANGES IN THE ABAP EDITOR.** Save file and execute** Use following parameters (Note the ist time you won't get proper* text on the selection screen).** Function U* Path full dos path containing source e.g c:\abaps\* NOTE YOU MUST ENTER THE FINAL \ as above.* REPID the program name. e.g ZZJIMHXX* note that on the DISK you will see 3 files* ZZJIMHXX.EEE, ZZJIMHXX.FFF, ZZJIMHXX.HHH* just use the name before the dos qualifier - the* program will do the rest** ignore other parameters* The program will then load itself with all the texts etc.* It should now be ready for use.*

One thing to bear in mind is that it's not just the program your need to download. You also require includes, domains, data elements, fields and tables used by the program and not defined by SAP.

If does not provide these facilities, let me know. I have a program that will download reports and entire function groups including all the dross either individually or by programmer.

my problem has been solved. Because of security reasons, i have no write-access on the root-directory of C.
So i've had to change 'C:\' in the program into 'C:\DATA\ZZJIMHXX\'.

Another dump occured, but i've changed the following line
Code: Select all
write '/B  > C:\DATA\ZZJIMHXX\DIR.$$$' to dosline+50

into the next line
Code: Select all
write '/B  > C:\DATA\ZZJIMHXX\DIR.$$$' to dosline+30

The dosline-variable could not store the complete line.

Rich, If you have this program available, PM me and I will open it for you.
