Hello!
I have an SRM Punchout functionality question.
After one or more catalog items are brought back from a Punchout site (external web-sites), these items are added to the SRM shopping cart. The user should be able to punch-back (or re-punchout) these items to the external catalog site and change the information (say configuration or volume pricing) and bring them again back into the Shopping Cart.
Is this possible. Has this functionality been implemented at any clients before? Can you send us any information on how we can achieve this?
This re-punchout functionality will enable users to use supplier web-site (punchout site) functionality such as configuration, quote retreival (volume discounts) etc.
An example, is that the supplier punch-out site has volume discout feature, which calculates the value of the items being shopped on the site based on the quantity entered on the site. Once the user brings these items back into SRM, if they try to change the quantity, SRM only does qty x unit price but doesn't consider volume discounts. So, the re-punchout will allow user to take the items back to the supplier site and re-calculate pricing.
Another example is that the supplier punch-out site has configuration feature, which calculates the value of the items being shopped on the site based on the bill of material of the item being configured. Once the user brings these items back into SRM, if they try to delete items in the BOM, SRM doesn't price based on the configuration discounts the supplier gave on their site. So, the re-punchout will allow user to take the items back to the supplier site, re-configure the item and re-calculate pricing.
Thank you.
