A question on release procedure of purchasing requsition

Postby terry » Tue Oct 29, 2002 5:43 am

Dears,
I am a new one on MM module. I met a big trouble when I created the release procedure with classification. When I finished a release procedure setup but it does not work. I don't know what's wrong. If I should assign this procedure to some t-code or some users? Please give me some advise!
Everything looks fine. I gave two characteristic to the class. one is total value on item, another is document type. I give it the value NB to document type and 5000 EUR to total value on item. But when I created such a purchasing requisition, it always gave me a messge "Purchase requisition not subject to a release strategy".

Thanks in Advance!

Hi All,

I would like to confirm this. I have created the Characteristics: Net Value and Doc Type. I have used these two Characteristics for PO release strategy by assigning these two Characteristics to the Class and used this Class in PO release strategy.

Can I use these two Characteristics again in PR release strategy?

please confirm,

thanks

Terry

The best place to start and analyse the problem would be in config using the Check Release Strategies function.

This list will show you where the errors are and also the issue.

In addition did you add yourself as a user to a release group in the workflow section at the bottom of the Release Procedure main screen

sorry... I missed this.

right now, I am using the same Charateristics and Class that I defined and used in PO release strategy.

Now when I try to enter the value for Doc Type in the PR release strategy / Classification, I hits the following error:

Object "02 12" already classified with same characteristic values

in PO relase strategy, I used value "NB" to identify the document type. In PR release strategy, when I enter the same value "NB" to identify the PR, I hits above error message...why???

thanks

please ensure that you have given a tick mark for the check box for overall release for document type NB in in TR code OMEB as well as in release group in TR code OMGQ.
Hope this will work

Dear MarkL,
Thanks a lot!
I have checked with that function, everything is OK, but I don't know how to add me as a member of a release group, so could you please tell me how to add myself into a release group. Another thing we didn't use workflow in this project.

Thanks in advance!

Workflow

No problem Terry,

Inside Procedure with Classification go to Set Up Procedure with Classification.

At the bottom of this screen there is a button called Workflow.

If you add new entry and select the Release Group that you want to add yourself (or user) to. Then add the release code that you wish to allocate yourself (e.g. release) Add the relevant plant, and the select the relevant Workflow object (in your case US for user), finally add your user id in the Agent ID field.

Hope this helps

Hi, Mark

Thanks. But It looks the release procedure does not work, I means it'll not check the PR. Need I set something to active it?

Thanks in Advance!

Terry,

Did you use the communication structure CEBAN to get your fields?

dt

I just reread the previous posts. You say you are using the characteristics from the PO release strategy? That works right? If so, look at the characteristic and tell me how you defined the two fields. The PO communication structure is CEKKO and the requisition communication structure is CEBAN. Try creating two new characteristics using CEBAN-BSART and CEBAN-GSWRT for document type and total item value respectively. Use SE12 to view all the fields on CEBAN.

Thanks everybody!

I just didn't set a interval value, so it didn't work. Now it's OK!

Thanks again!
