APO courses vs TASCM courses

Postby nisha » Mon Jan 20, 2003 6:06 pm

Hi,

Can anyone let me know the differences between AP205, SCM220 (previously AP210), SCM230 (previously AP215) courses and TASCM2 (D&SNP), TASCM3 (D&SNP- Case Study)? I am planning to take APO, but is it better to take TASCM2&3 than the other courses? Looks like the course contents are very similar. Basically I am looking for Demand & Supply Netwrok Planning course.

If anyone has experience taking these courses, I would appreciate their feedback, pros & cons etc... Versions are different???

Thanx
RK

The TASCM2 course is a compressed version of the AP210 and AP215 courses, completing these two in 5 days. If you have previous experience of APO and require the certification then I would advise you do TASCM2 and TASCM3 (the latter is a 4 day work through example case-study followed by the certification exam on the last day). I found these courses better for me as they cut out the usual SAP "waffle" during courses  to fill the days out.

If you have no prior APO, then I recommend that you follow the other two courses, which give the information in a little bit more detail and give you more time to absorb what is being said.
