what r the initial steps to configure the warehause management in MM module ?

I have scenario where WM is perfectly matching but i don't have knowledge how to configure the system.

The first step is to create a warehouse and assign it to a Plant/Storage Location/Shipping Point. Next you would create the rest of your master data such as storage types, storage sections, and bins. Then you set up your pick/put away strategies. I would recommend thorough research BEFORE you begin set up and strategies as WM can be the best thing or the worst thing depending on the design.

hi kwindle,
i have maintianed storage location and assign for warehouse. even i created storage bin , storage type everything like strategy . as i maintianed warehouse field in material master of perticular material.
when i recieving that perticular material by Movment type 501, it should automaticlyy place in that perticular bin of storege location. even that perticular materila is transferring from one storae to other storage bin whick movement type i have to follow. and when transfer type and transfer of requirement will work.?
how exactly this functions ?
