If the BOM Header base quantity is changed (with no release key/effective immediately), will the BOM components' quantities automatically recalculate? Or do the corresponding component quantities have to be changed manually?
Thanks for any help you can provide!

Hi Karen,
As far as I know, the base quantity and component quantities are independent from each other, so no recalculation of component quantities takes place after updating base quantities in the header.

Hi Karen
MMPP is of course correct. However, there is a nice feature in CEWB which can assist with this. Let's say you use working area SAP_ITEM and you select all items to be changed. Then select the items as well as column Quantity and choose Extras > Mass Change. Click on the Sum icon ("Enter formulas..."). Here you can enter for example 1.1*x which increases all quantities by 10%. You could even push it further as it allows you to add more sophisticated calculations under "ABAP".
