Hypocrit France?

Postby Snowy » Thu Jan 15, 2015 4:50 pm

Hi,

All of you know that "Charlie Hebdo" was attacked by terrorists last week. Now, everybody says it was a direct hit on freedom of speech.
But, on the other hand, Dieudonné (a polymic comedian) says one foolish thing in Facebook and is arrested. http://www.vox.com/2015/1/14/7545501/dieudonne-charlie-hebdo-arrest

So, Freedom of speech in France is only for only some people?

Snowy,

not only in France. If you look at Germany and the PEGDIA (spelling) movement, its the same story.
The press is killing it because they decry the media and the politicians condemn them as NAZIs.

Its crazy

Merkel says the "Islam belongs to Germany" ...

Well, we do have hate speech laws.
And Charlie has been sued under them several dozen time (unsuccessfully).

In this case, it's a quite recent law condemning terrorism apology.
