just in general, has anyone ever encountered a company that does not allow you to print directly from SAP?

If so, then why?

thanks...

Depends on the setup and what you want to print.

Some companies don't like it for legal reasons, others consider it an environmental issue.

In pre SAP times, I had a client that wanted all output converted to Excel and any print over 5 pages (except Invoices etc) was forbidden.

Talking of printing. Yesterday I read about a mobile laser printer that starts printing as soon as send it, but makes its way to you desk (being mobile) and delivers it to you. Interesting logistics involved there, but I guess if they can have driverless cars, then why not mobile printers.

I we had one here I would go to the previous floor and see if it can handle the stairs. Assuming there was not the same printer on all floors or course. ;)

LOL,

I thought going to the printer is the consultant "work out program".
