Ok folks.. I came back to take a look around and I've determined this place is dead..
*kicking candy wrapper under desk.... blowing dust of CRT screen...."
I hate to say I'm bailing but it looks that way. Thought it would be rude to just leave without never saying goodbye...
I'm really going to miss this place. A lot of good memories here. But time marches on...
You'll find me on the dark side now at SCN in the QM space over there if anyone comes looking. I'll be the one in the corner trying to remain PC with the veins popping out on his forehead in frustration.
Good luck to all. Come by once in awhile in and brighten up my day!

It is weird here. Like one of those American post-gold rush ghost towns you can wander around thinking "Wow. This is how people used to live".
Possibly the most modest person in the world.

You weren't allowed to use your computer?
Now I would check the health of your relationship, with whom ever that is.
Even my cat let's me use the computer although at times we have to fight.
Cause a warm laptop seems to have a certain attraction to fuzzballs.

You're of that age to remember green screens - ever watched a cat chase a cursor ?

LOL Rich,
I did worse. At my very first company, I made a bet with my Boss, that I could program an animated company logo on a 5250.
Was a fun project reading the screen content into memory, manipulate it and send it back without the use of the system send key. You should try that on your 3270.
But, the ultimate is when you buy a Meow-Movie (there are such things) and you play it on your TV and the cats sit in front and watch

Oh - I also forgot to say it was summer, I was working from home, in shorts and the cat was sitting on my lap before it took off at the screen....

So, you left a blood trail?
I know that feeling. I usually have scratches on my knees. Kind of the same reason.
Though, I hope the vital parts were left unharmed
