USMM REPORT ON parallel login

Postby bsashok12 » Sun Sep 02, 2012 11:44 pm

Dear all,

We have executed the USMM report. The report was analyzed. In the report, a column about the "Top 20 login" is appearing. Under that Header, it is listed some users with 2 columns . First column contains the number of peak logins and the second column contains the number of times the login has occurred.

We want to be complaint with the License. From the above "Top 20 Login" is it possible to estimate the number of licenses that we have buy .

Any help / guides / leads are highly appreciated.

Thanks

bsashok.

Hi,

The answer to your question depends on the licence agreement that you have with SAP. Assign your licences as per the definitions in your licence and then SAP will, in theory, calculate any extra due (not that i have seen this happen before even at clients where they have badly abused the multi login). They may just roll it up into costs for the next iteration of licence negotiations.

Generally you will need a licence for each dialog user on the production system. The bit which is trickiest is choosing between things like Professional & Limited Professional classification (big cost difference!)
