Hello All,
After five years of approved practice, the SOX police are changing the rules. We need to prove to the SOX auditors that one individual is being monitored across the landscape that has the object S_DEVELOP and can transport on up the landscape into production.
We plan to run SAPMSM20 nightly so that the job creates a file, unfortunately I do not see a variant for this ABAP. Is there a way to run SAPMSM20 specifying user id, transaction code and defaulting to the day of run?
Best regards,
Will

Hi All,
I found ABAP RSAU_SELECT_EVENTS, this ABAP executes as if you were running SM20 manually. There is the ability to create a variant with RSAU_SELECT_EVENTS. I am now able to execute RSAU_SELECT_EVENTS specifying an id, a transaction for a variable date range.
With the above said I am able to do all that is needed except to send the output to a file. If anyone knows how to send the output directly to a file, it would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Will

Hi All,
I put out an OSS message and was told that RSAU_SELECT_EVENTS does “not†work in background. OSS said to follow note 6753. I did as well as following something I found on the net. Should anyone run into a similar issue and would like help please contact me. Basically the solution would to create a print device which will direct it to a Unix file, create a script to rename the Unix file with a date and time stamp on the filename so that the program can be run more than once in a day if need be.
