Hi,
Just to set the expectation right again: "Early lot" works by creating ONE lot per order ONLY. SO with all the info you have given, Let's not talk about early lot any more because it will not work for you. (unless there is one order per day)
You said in your earlier post that quantity must come to QI, and therefore ruled out using partial lot option. You indirectly also ruled out any potential solution with manual lots, becasue they cannot be stock relevant.
You also ruled out Craig's option of small GR at the beginning of the day.
I think you have no whever to go.
You must one of this work by collaborating with manufacturing / PP, other wise its is not in SAP.

Hello Mr.Anand

Thanx

Yes as rightly pointed out by U the early lot will not work for me.I am going to get the lot after confirmation by PP only. I tried to persue with PP guy for daily order but could not able to get the daily order. Now I have to wait till PP guy confirm the production to put the quality results. This is not fair.

Go above the PP giuy. What your talking about is a key integration point between PP and QM.

The PP person shouldn't be allowed to just say "no". This would be an issue I would encourage you to take up a level. The PP guy is forcing a solution that is not in the best interest of the client in the long term.

finally what is the solution, i have the same situation. it is normal to start the inspection much before the confirmation, monthly one order, daily one confirmation but QM needs inspection lots early so that they record and save the QM data.

If you read the posting carefully there was no solution and is no solution. Monthly process orders are not a good process for all the reasons listed in the posting.

It wasn't a good idea then and it's still not a good idea today and SAP has not added any new functionality to deal with that scenario.

Any PP consultant endorsing monthly orders IMHO should be fired. It's a result of having lazy Planners usually.
