How the field NO_DISP is updated in table AFKO, AFVC, & RESB

Postby Amit9017 » Tue May 22, 2012 4:19 am

Hello Experts,

I have come across following situation.
I have created a task list, attached it to a maintenance plan, the plan is scheduled to generate work orders. Work orders are created & they have reservation number in table RESB for stock materials planned in orders.
However,
1) In production environment, field NO_DISP (effective material planning) has value ' ' (Blank) in tables AFKO, AFVC & RESB,
2) In quality environment, field NO_DISP (effective material planning) has value 'X' in tables AFKO, AFVC & RESB
(the same task list is used for both environments)

It would be a great help if anybody let me know why it happens.
Thanks in advance.

(As a result of this, I can see the reservations for orders in production environment in MD04 against the respective materials. But, I can't see the reservations for orders in quality environment in MD04 against the respective materials.)

Regards,
Amit

The default for this field is derived from customising table field, T399X-NO_DISP. This is changeable only for PP order types as far as I remember, but not for PM order types. Have a look, it should be blank for all PM order types. It's been awhile since I messed with this, so I may not be 100%..
Good luck!

@ Dave,
Thanks for your reply.
For both environment (Production as well as quality) the field NO_DISP has value 'X' in table T399X.

Whenever, an order is created from maintenance plan in production environment, the NO_DISP value becomes " " (blank) in tables AFKO, AFVC, & RESB (order status - CRTD MACM PRC) . As this field is blank, the material is available for MRP planning & its reservations are seen in MD04 (even though the order is due for execution in the month of November'12). Note that, this order is not yet released.

When order is created from maintenance plan in quality environment, the NO_DISP value is "X" in tables AFKO, AFVC, & RESB (order status - CRTD MACM PRC). Hence, the reservations are not displayed in MD04. When, the order is released, the value for NO_DISP becomes " " (blank) in table RESB only, the material is available for planning & can be seen in MD04.

Any idea why I am facing problem in production environment?

NOTE:- I checked system statuses in BS22 (table - TJ02). Their settings are identical in both systems.
