When my user creates an SO, they encounters this error. So now we cannot do any changes or close it or delete it

Update was terminated
Error4 updating info structure S001

How to solve this? i would hope not to implement any OSS notes.

Can i deactivate / disable S001, cancel/delete the problem SO and reactivate/enable S001?

Hi

S001 is a standard info structure which has been around forever. Update terminate on this one is rather odd. If you are absolutely certain that this is a one time occurance with 1 sales order, doing what you say may work for you. How do you know it won't happen again without first finding why it happened?

Suggest you try to determine the reason for the termination by running the following tcodes

- SM13
- ST22 if there is a dump
- SM21

Most of the time, this will pinpoint where the failure is
