We are a new SAP shop. I am involved in helping our IT Director get information for setting up SAP in a virtualized environment.
His question:
In a virtualized environment (Hyper-V), does the use of differencing disks for the guest operating system affect Solution Manager and/or SAP Applications in any way?
Thanks for your assistance.

I do not know Hyper-V (a Microsoft Windows product, I googled just now) and its implementation. There is a SAP Note on what platforms SAP supports virtualization (like VMWare etc). Start here:

Best environent: SLES-for-SAP (spezial version) with XEN
VMware or Hyper-V are one unnecessary layer too much
