Hello ,
When we are in transaction IW32 and we print an order document the transaction is closed afterwards.
Even wen we cansel the printing pop up screen the order is closed.
Is there a setting that prevent to close the order?
Thanks,
Kagge

Re: IW32 closed after printing documentYour question is not clear..
Are you saying that, when you print an order (shop paper), then system sets the system-status to closed (CLSD)?? Pete A

Re: IW32 closed after printing documentI think he means that the transaction is exited. No, this cannot be changed (in the standard) because the act of printing causes an update of order data in the database that must not be interrupted.
Good luck!
Re: IW32 closed after printing documentNo what I means is that when I press on the cancel (red cross on the pop up screen otf the shop paper) the transaction is ended en i will be back in the IW32 selection screen.
Re: IW32 closed after printing documentCan you please reply with a step-by-step description of what you are doing.

Re: IW32 closed after printing documentStep by step
Start transaction IW32 Search order by using the match code Enter to open the order In the menu bar --> order\print\order Pop up screen appears with "Select shop papers" Press X in the pop up Order closed and go back to input screen of the iw32 transaction This latest is strange because there are no updates to do
Re: IW32 closed after printing document
The order status is updated to "Printed" the first time you do this. Another reason is that you could change some data in the order that would affect the printed data. The flow of the transaction ensures that the printed data matches the saved data. Otherwise a user could (for example) add components to the order, print the order showing the components, and then choose not to save. The transaction flow programmed by SAP prevents these types of inconsistencies. Why do you have a problem with it? Good luck!
Re: IW32 closed after printing documentDave,
But if he didn't print anything, then why did it exit the IW32 program when to click the <CANCEL> button (red X) in the Select Shop Papers popup?? Sounds like a bug to me.. PeteA
Re: IW32 closed after printing documentYeah, probably (I missed the part about clicking 'X")....apparently the SAP screen flow logic is such that once the print process starts, there's no turning back. I'm not sure I've ever had a user go that far and then decide not to print. There is no new information in the dialog box that might cause one to change his mind about whether or not to proceed with printing IMO.
OSS note 1625093 offers a correction if it's really bothersome. Good luck!

When did this problem start? Have you upgraded or imported any hotpacks recently. Have you been developing any new order functionality using new screens? Pete A
