order unit of measure

Postby Trevorm » Fri Mar 02, 2012 5:31 am

Hi

Can someone please help me?
we have a order unit of measure of PAL (pallet) in the material master, when creating a PO PAL is pulled through to the purchase order, when this info is sent via a idoc it maps to PF which is the ISO code.
How do we sent PAL via the idoc?

Thanks

Trevor

No way, the IDOC carries only the ISO code.
you can create an ISO code PAL and assign it to the unit PAL.
But always think about that sender and receiver have to understand each other, so you must have the same understanding for the ISO codes and units.
The IDOCs are using those ISO codes, as ISO codes are usually defined by a UN commission and common for EDI worldwide.
For any own defined ISO codes you need to have a mapping.
