Negative stock possible in some plants

Hello all,

We have following problem with negative stock. In 15 plants it is not possible to have negatvie stock , in 4 plants the system allows negative stock. The settings in transaction OMJ1 (=allow negative stocks) is for all plants the same. We don't want to have the possibility to have negative stock .What might be the reason the the system allows negative stock in the 4 plants ?

hi,

This function works together with Plant level material master setup(under Plant data/Stor.2 view).

In customizing, you will find the settting for nagative stock. Negative stocks are allowed at Valuation area, Plant and storage locaiton level. At Plant level you can set the special stocks for which nagative stock is allowed.

You MUST also change the plant data for all mateirals that allow negative stocks. The indicator for nagative stocks is with the storage data view in material master record.

In the material master of the material of which the systems allows negative stock, the indicator neg. stock (marc-XMCNG) is NOT set. We DON'T WANT TO ALLOW negative stock for this material !
In the settings to allow negative stock (customing , transaction OMJ1) the settings per plant are exactly the same. For most plants it is not possible to book negative stock , only for a few plants it is possible
