Quality Certificates - Material Assignment

Postby athoms01 » Mon Jan 09, 2012 3:22 am

Hi

I have a quality certifcate and I have added a semi-finished material under the material tab. I also have added an assignment which is a finished goods.

When I try and create the certificate in QC03 to test it, for the delivery I am using it fails as it can't find an inspection lot for the finished goods in the delivery. But, I thought it would be looking for an inspection lot for the semi-finished material which is there with the same batch number and it's UD has been made.

However when I then go and create an inspection lot for the finished good, with the same batch number, the certificate is created ok.

Am I misunderstanding something as I thought I could create the certificate based on the inspection lot for the semi-finished good so long as it was linked to the finished good correctly ? Or am I missing some piece of set up for this to work ?

Regards

Alistair

Hi, I don't think it matters if the two share the same batch number. Couple of places to start - Check configuration for the batch where used list & make sure BaWU synchronous posting is active. Also, check your consumption of the semi-finished batch into the finished batch and make sure there are no failed goods movements there.

If everything is ok there, check the function for the results / spec origin on the certificate, and also the settings for stock transfers / explosion level is set correctly

John

Thanks a lot for your reply, problem solved. It was the origin of results on the certificate was the issue.

Cheers
