EP External system integration

Hi,

Need to create a XI system in the SAP portal as an external system.Please explain how the FTP Export Configuration works? wHEN a file is created in portal it needs to FTPed to the XI system.

Export Directory:sourcing/outbound
FTP Output Directory:
FTP Server
FTP User:
FTP User:
